Diana and Joe’s intimate wedding in Paris

Ceremonize were lucky enough to help Diana and Joe plan their wedding in Paris on July 27th, 2015. It was such a pleasure for us to accompany them in organising the wedding of their dreams.

Originally hailing from Richmond, USA, the couple dreamed of a nice “green” wedding in Paris. Finding a beautiful park or garden in the city is never an easy task, but we rose to the challenge and found the perfect venue.

The couple wanted to enjoy post-ceremony drinks with their guests, so we advised them to take their wedding photos before the service. Though it meant that they saw one another before the ceremony, it also gave them some time to enjoy each other’s company before getting swept up in the madness of the day. They travelled through Paris in a vintage French car, stopping off at some of the most beautiful and well-known parts of the city to take photographs, including the Eiffel Tower, the Pyramide du Louvre, the Seine-side booksellers, and some of Paris’s many bridges.

Their religious ceremony followed, and took place outside. Simple decorations accentuated a warm and convivial atmosphere, with the ceremony’s few guests comprising mostly family and friends.

The post-ceremony cocktail reception took place outside, in the beautiful summer light. The guests enjoyed delicious cocktails and French food at a truly gorgeous Paris wedding venue.

Pale pink and white were the colours du jour, with roses and hydrangea dotted everywhere.

As our bride tossed the bouquet to her single friends, our groom tossed her garter to the single men! It was a funny moment that showed the couple’s great sense of humour.

Then, it was time for dinner and some partying!

As wedding favours for their guests, Diana and Joe decided on wine stoppers with a personalised box, and small Eiffel Tower key chains.

The dinner included more French food, which went down a treat with the guests. The atmosphere was wonderful, and everyone really enjoyed this terrific day.

All our best wishes to the happy couple!
