Starting a blended family is never easy, but Julie and Ludovic have managed to bring their four children together beautifully.
To immortalise their love, it was a natural choice to get married and bring their two families together. But organising a wedding in the midst of a busy work and family life can be difficult, so the couple decided to bring in professional wedding planner help.
We at Ceremonize had the pleasure of accompanying the family on their journey as they prepared for their big day. Julie and Ludovic had already chosen their reception venue and caterer, but they left the rest in our hands.
The bride and groom said ‘I do’ on the 16th April 2016, and the weather was surprisingly pleasant for what can be a rather unpredictable time of year!
After the religious and civil ceremonies, a lively reception ensured that all the guests who weren’t invited to the dinner could enjoy themselves and have a drink before setting off.
A photo booth gave guests the chance to have a bit of fun, and to leave a little memento in the guest book.
An orchestra enticed guests onto the dancefloor, while a balloon launch really got the party started. Each guest wrote a wish on a label attached to their balloon, and 3, 2, 1 – off they went!
Then it was time for dinner. After the couple’s first appearance as newlyweds, they took the mic to thank their guests and to reveal that their family would soon be growing even further!
The entire décor scheme was planned by Kahina, our wedding decorator. The bride and groom opted for a pale pink and grey colour scheme, which we carried throughout the venue.
Another nice touch was the dress code – women were asked to wear a piece of pink jewellery, the men a pink tie.
Each table was topped with a grey tablecloth, and was given a particular name. The centrepieces were truly stunning – pale roses and white hydrangea. Beautiful candleholders at the centre of each arrangement added a romantic touch.
It was a lovely evening, and after the traditional croquembouche made its appearance and the couple enjoyed their first slow dance, all that remained was for the DJ to take to the decks to help guests continue the party until the early hours of the morning.
We wish this young couple all the best for their life together!
